ACCREDITATION OF UNIVERSITIES, RECTOR KONI INTERVIEWED FOR ORA NEWS

Accreditation of Universities, Rector Koni interviewed for Ora News. :) The report of the British agency for accreditation will be seen with special attention by the Senate and the Rectorate of Tirana. Even Mynyr Koni is telling Ora News that he can address the court in case of finding injustice. According to him, the evaluation of the University of Tirana was done at the time when Dhori Kule was rector. According to Konit, Kule is one of the responsible for the unacceptable results of this draft report.

At the University of Tirana, and relevant faculties, the draft report of the British Accreditation Agency has arrived, which with its results has disturbed university leaders for its unsatisfactory results.

Rector of the University of Tirana, Mynyr Koni, says the rating of the British agency belongs to 2013-2016.

Koni: Institutional Evaluation for the University of Tirana was done in the period 2013-2016, when the position of rector of the University of Tirana was Dhori Kule. While the whole activity, the whole process for its realization has been done from the moment of application that was in December 2016 and so far by the UT structures of their constituent units, departments, academic staff, students and administrative staff.

Also, according to the Rector, the draft was submitted to the deans of the faculty.

Koni: At the moment when the external appraisal team had planned meetings at the UT at one of its meetings scheduled with the branch, Dhori Kule was not present. That is, the whole communication of material preparation is done in complete transparency.

The Rector will hold his stand, and even may address the court in case of incompatibility.

Koni: The Academic Senate will meet immediately as the highest academic authority when the final report of the External Evaluation Group and the Board of Administration decision arrives. At this moment this body will undergo a detailed analysis and if we see the reason we will turn to the legal institutions, the Administrative Court.

The final report is expected to be published after a few weeks, from which the analysis on meeting the standards of this university will begin.
